Yesterday, I sign up the egg hunting event for my kids. Then I suddenly realize it’s time to prepare the Easter outfit. It’s too late? Not really. With this design and the super bulky yarn, you can finish this cute bunny poncho in less than 1 day. Isn’t it amazing?

My last design is also a poncho for toddler. The “Hugs and Kisses” poncho is available on blog for free. Link is Here.

Since it’s the last minute design. Size available for now is 2T and 4T.  I’m working on the all size verion. It’ll be released soon.

Ears (make 2)

Row 1: With 8.0 mm crochet hook and color M, ch 5, dc into 3rd ch from hook, dc across. (3 dc)
Row 2: ch2 (count as 1st dc), turn, dc inc in 2nd st of row, dc inc. (5 dc)

Inner Ear:

Row 5: ch2 (count as 1st dc), turn, dc dec, dc dec. (3 dc)
Row 6: ch2 (count as 1st dc), turn, dc dec. (2 dc)
Put the inner ear and outer ear together (It doesn’t matter which side is the right side). I just made a knot at each side of the ear and hide the ends in-between the two ear pieces. In color M, sc around, leave a long tail. (approximately 18”/45cm)

Sew the bottom of ear together (about 2 sts, see red line in pic. 3 above), using stitch marker hold the ear onto place and sew on the ear using whip stitch (I put the ears between 3rd row and 4th row outer of the middle, and between 5th and 6th dc from front. See red line in picture below. Don’t sew the ear onto a single dc, or it won’t “stand up”)
Picture on the left is the outside of the hood and the one on the right is inside of the hood.

Band for button hole:
With 9.0 mm crochet hook and color M, ch 13, dc into 3rd ch from hook, dc across. (11 dc), ch1, (do not turn the work), sc around, join with sl st to first st. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Sew on the Band (I put it 2 rows under the neckline, then sew with back st, as shown in picture)

Sew on the button.(I sew the button on the first row of edge and between 3rd and 4th row from neckline.)

Tail:
Attach a Pom pom onto the middle dc of the last row.

Enjoy! Happy Easter!
