This colder shoulder top is knitted top-down. It’s perfect for use up all the yarn you have.  You should choose the size base on the chest circumference. The shoulder strap chould also slightly adjust the length of the top. There are also multiple styles for the top. You could just use the strap only or buttons only to get a different look.

The crochet version is also available. (It’s still viewable on my blog today only).

bo = bind off
co = cast on
K = knit
K2tog = knit 2 together
P = purl
pm = place marker
rep =repeat
Rnd = round
RS = right side
s2kp = slip two stitches as if to k2tog, knit the next stitch, pass the two slipped stitches together over the knit stitch (centralized double decrease)
skp = slip, knit, pass slipped stitch over
sm = slip marker
St(s) = stitches
WS = WS
YO = yarn over

In rows: Row 1(RS): K. Row 2(WS): K.

Pattern Notes:

  • Difficulty Level: Intermediate
  • Sizing in pattern will be listed as 1/2 (3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10) {XS, S, M, L} XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL. When only one number is given, it applied to all sizes. You may circle all numbers pertaining to your size before beginning.
  • Fits chest circumference: 20 (22, 24, 26, 28) {30, 32, 34, 38} 42, 46, 50, 54 inches with 1-3 inches positive ease.
  • This cold shoulder top is knitted top-down in 2 pieces (upper front and upper back) then join them together and work in rounds. You may add the neckline & armhole edging before you complete the main body so that you could use up all the yarn you have.
