Amount Required: size 12/18m: 290 yds (1 skein); size toddler: 338 yds (1 skein); size child: 400 yds (1 skein); size teen: 490 yds (2 skeins); size adult: 583 yds (2 skein).
Tools and Notions:
Gauge: (in 4″ x 4″/10cm x 10cm)
16 sts x 20 rows in stockinette stitch
Length from neckline approx. 10 (12, 14, 16, 18) inches.
K = knit
K2tog = knit 2 together
M1L(M1R) = make 1 knit stitch left (right)
M1PL(M1PR) = make 1 purl stitch left (right)
P = purl
PM = place marker
Rep = repeat
Sl 1 wyif = slip 1 with yarn in front
YO = yarn over
- Difficulty level: intermediate
- Sizing in pattern will be listed as 12/18m (toddler, child, teen, adult). When only one number is given, it applies to all sizes.
- This poncho is knitted from the neckline top down. Then pick up and knit stitch from the neckline to work the hood.
